Lefkada, Ionian island

Nidri is located 18km away from the capital of the island.
It is 45km from Aktio international airport (PVK). A bus service (KTEL 0030 26450 22364) connects the island with daily routes to/from Athens, Patras and Thessaloniki.
The zero elevation terrain of Nydri makes it ideal for bikers, children and elderly people and makes transportation and walking easy.
Porto Katsiki
Porto Katsiki (Πόρτο Κατσίκι ‘goat port’) is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Ionian Sea off the island of Lefkada. The name is said to come from the fact that formerly only goats could reach this area. The beach is at the bottom of a concave pale cliff. It is 35 km from Lefkada town, near Athani village.
Egremni
The waters of Egremni are strikingly clear and its sunsets are dramatic. The beach is composed of fine to medium-sized white pebbles typical of the Ionian Islands that are very comfortable to lie on. The sea deepens quite fast, especially on the southern end, where the cruise ships can take tourists directly to the shore. It also frequently experiences intense waves, so small children should be closely monitered.

Spilia Papanikoli
Papanikolis Cave: archaeologists believe that the Cave of Papanikolis used to be the hideaway of a submarine. It is ideally located in the island of Meganisi, which is a mere 12 nautical miles from Nidri village, Lefkada. The best way to reach the cave is by a boat cruise from Nidri and takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the cave.
